Address Book Plus comes with a default set of conditions for entering data and displaying entries in Browse mode.  These options in the Entry menu allow you to change many of these conditions to suit your own needs:

Arrange Browse Fields allows you to change the order in which the fields are displayed in Browse mode.  You can also exclude any fields you wish.

Edit Smart Lists allows you to add, modify, or delete terms from the smart lists in the Data Entry dialog box.

Edit Field Names allows you to change the name of any field in the Data Entry dialog box except List By.

Data Entry Preferences allows you to enter general preferences and specify data entry options that allow you to automatically expand initial letters into words, retain the contents of select fields for new entries, automatically capitalize entries, and change the order in which the cursor moves from field to field when you press Tab.  See the subtopic “Data entry preferences” under “Entry menu” for more information.

All these changes and preferences are saved with the file you are working on.  If you want to apply them to new files, save this file as a stationery file (see the main topic, “Stationery and document files”).  If you want to apply your data entry preferences to every Address Book Plus file you create, see “Changing the new document defaults” in Chapter 1 of your manual for instructions.
